Happy endings!

Wagging Tails has placed over 500 dogs since 2001. Here are excerpts from some of the messages we have received from past adopters.

Suffice it to say that Chloe is one of the best things to happen to us. She is a wonderful dog who seems to have gotten the best of the breeds that make her up. We are so lucky to have her. Thank you so much for bringing her into our lives. She is loving, gentle, social and obedient which is more than I can say about all the other people in this house!!! She is very happy to be here but not nearly as happy as I am to have her here.

Thanks again for everything.

Cathi and the entire family....immediate and otherwise...
everyone loves chloe!!!

Coco has grown to a big 70 pounds and looks like she's done growing. Honestly, the rate that she was growing, for a while we thought she'd be much bigger. Fetch is her favorite game to play. Loves those tennis balls. She can get two in her mouth at the same time and is trying for three!!

Bear is doing great! We love him so much, everyday we tell him how lucky we are to have him. We have had him almost a year now and he is just wonderful. We couldn't be happier. It's very common for us to say, "what would we do without you, Bearie?" He's so loving and snuggly and well behaved. He is my running partner, we run everyday, except Fridays, and he loves it. We go in any kind of weather and he has little boots for when it's colder than 10 below zero so his little paws don't freeze. We have just, in the past month, started to be able to work with him a little off-leash! He has done so well being trained. I cannot believe that he was ever without a home! The vet says that he's in great shape and very healthy. He has a beautiful coat, that is shedding a good amount right now! He loves getting brushed though, so everyday, he gets brushed! He goes everywhere with us, we took him on a road trip vacation to South Carolina this past summer. We determined that he is a mountain doggie, he didn't enjoy the beach very much, but he loved the swamps! Lots of critters running around. He has also been to Maine a couple of times. He's the perfect pup!!

Hello my name is Gina. About two years ago I adopted a little guy named Bogie from Wagging Tails Dog Rescue. Well let's just say he is no longer little but he is handsome and a very good boy. He loves to play with other dogs and he is good with kids. Most of all he my family's best friend and we love him so much. How ever we did rename him his new name is Coraggio in Italian it means courage. and it fits him so well.

Thank you again
Gina

Lucy is doing WONDERFULLY! She truly is the light of our lives - brimming with personality and aspiring to be the head of the household! We did beginning obedience (on leash training) with her in the fall and are following up with off-leash training with her in the spring. She is currently helping me train for a 1/2 marathon in May and has developed gorgeous muscle tone. She spends lots of time outside in the yard, and is practicing the art of retrieving which leads us to wonder if she has a little bit of lab in her. She looks very German Shepherd, but not as slight as shepherds, not as tall either. She weighs in at about 65 pounds, but thinks she is MUCH bigger!

We cannot possibly thank you enough for allowing us to adopt Lucy and bring her into our lives. She is the center of our world and goes everywhere with us! She has become our parents' "Grandogger!"

Boomer, or Boomie as we call him, is doing WONDERFUL! What a great dog. We take him everywhere we can, visit family in NJ and PA, hiking, biking, etc! He's soo great, never have to worry about him around other animals or kids!

He's been healthy, he's been to the vet for all annual shots, heartworm, check-ups, etc. He eats a luxury diet of Wellness, sleeps in bed with us at night, he's just one spoiled mutt. We even took some obedience classes!

He's also become quite the little stunt dog, his absolute favorite game is to catch the frisbee. He gets so proud of himself when he catches it in the air! I watch carefully though because he's landing on his joints, but he just lives for his daily game of frisbee!

So that's about it in a nut shell, we just adore him!

We are very happy with Humphrey. He is a great dog. He truly should be an ambassador for "Pit Bulls". He is a big lap dog, very quick to learn and to please. He spends most of his day free around the house, choosing to lie on the couch. When everyone is out, he is in his crate. He crates very well. He sleeps in Kristine's room. He loves to go on walks with my daughter and jogs with my husband and me. He is always on a leash. He comes (on a long leash) very well. He is in the middle of Intermediate Dog Training, we plan to go with him through advanced. He loves people. He does not like other dogs, but that does not affect us too much. It is not that he runs after other dogs, but if a dog (off leash- the other dog not Humphrey) gets into his space, he does not sniff him/her to find out if the dog is friend or foe, he lunges at them. This has not caused any altercations, as we are very aware of the situation and try not to put Humphrey in a position where there could be a problem.

We love him very much, he is truly a part of our family.

I renamed the puppy Callie, and she is doing awesome. She's getting really big, and she's very friendly. She lives with my family and I and is very good with kids. Of course she's still young so she gets rather excited at times, but she is very obediant and just an awesome dog in general.

Brittney

I'm happy to tell you that Skippy is doing very well. We couldn't have asked for a better dog! He's been such a wonderful addition to our family, and everyone that knows him adores him.

Kristen

We have renamed Max, Theo and he is great. I took him to puppy socialization and obendience training and he is doing well. His older brother Jasper loves him, he has fit right in.

Tracey

Snickers is just GREAT! ...She is entirely the Queen of the house and spoiled rotten. She is a big baby and seems to be very happy all the time. She sleeps in her crate all night and has been out of her crate during the day more and more. We put her in there when there is a lot of activity and newcomers for her safety as well as theirs!

We took her to obedience training at the Animal Rescue League of NH. Maureen was awesome! We attended as a family and Snickers and her humans did well!

Denise

We couldn't be happier with Jake, he is family to us.  Adam, Jake, and I will be sitting in the living room and Adam will turn to me and say, "We have the best dog in the world."  We truely love Jake and his companionship and the boys here appreciate him too.  I bring him to class with me and he sniffs around curiously and then finds a good spot to lay down. What a sweetheart!  So, thank you again for all the work you have put in with Jake, from saving his life in Georgia to placing him in a wonderful foster home.  We are so appreciative of your great work and it positively effects our lives each day when we look at our boy Jake.

Warmest Regards,
Kate, Adam, Jake, and Karma
