Volunteer opportunities
Although our primary need is for foster homes, many other volunteer opportunities are available. Here are some typical volunteer jobs:
- Transport a dog from its foster home to the vet.
- Visit the home of a potential adopter or foster home, then file a home visit report.
- Telephone recent adopters to check on their progress.
- Help staff a booth at a local event.
- Help maintain our web site.
- Write for our web site or for our e-mail newsletter.
- Assist with fundraising efforts.

Home Visitors Needed
Home visits can be fun and interesting. We need more people to help accomplish this critical part of the adoption process. A typical home visit lasts less than 30 minutes; it may take another 30 minutes to fill out and send the home visit report. We'll provide training. Contact infodog@wtdr.org for more information.
We'd like to start an e-mail newsletter...
to send to adopters, volunteers, supporters, and other interested parties on a quarterly or semi-annual basis. Our goals are modest. We need someone to head this effort. Tasks would include maintaining the mailing list, assembling stories and news items into a simple newsletter, and e-mailing the newsletter. Contact infodog@wtdr.org for more information.
